I’m Melissa — Brazilian by birth, fashion-addict by destiny, and now… amateur croissant critic in the South of France.
Once upon a time, I studied Law. Yes, I owned way too many pencil skirts and could cite legal articles faster than you could say “objection!” But life decided I’d look better in a silk blouse than a courtroom robe, and whisked me away into the world of Fashion.
Class of 2009!
The adventure began in 2015 in the UK, working for a prestigious British brand (very Downton Abbey but with more card machines). Then came Cecilia Quinn, a British shoe label handcrafted in Italy — where I realized I had a gift for spotting fabulous footwear, and polished my skills at Central Saint Martins in London.

Fast forward a few years: I traded tea for bagels and headed to New York, earning a Fashion Design Management specialization from Cornell and landing in my dream store — Anthropologie’s flagship at Rockefeller Center. Later, I stepped into the luxury world with the Swiss brand Akris on Madison Avenue, where cashmere became my second skin.
NY taught me that style is everywhere — on the streets, in the subway, and sometimes on the dog wearing a bomber jacket in Central Park. I fell in love with the city’s individuality, worked behind the scenes at NYFW, and sharpened my eye for trends, quirks, and that one accessory that makes you go, "Where did she get that?!"
Now, you’ll find me in the South of France — learning French (badly), eating my bodyweight in cheese, sipping wine and french beer, and trying to figure out what exactly is that je ne sais quoi everyone talks about.
