Style Journeys: Marcia and the Full-Circle Moment of Vidalessa
Today’s post is extra special — not just because of who it's about, but because it marks the beginning of a new series here on the blog: Style Journeys. This space is dedicated to sharing the stories behind the women I have the honor of styling — their paths, their growth, and the beauty that comes from showing up as themselves.
And there’s no one better to start with than Marcia.
Marcia was my very first client. She was the first closet I ever stepped into as a personal stylist, and I’ll never forget it. At the time, she wasn’t planning to launch a business. She simply wanted to feel more at ease with her everyday wardrobe, and invited me into her life to help make that happen. That moment was the quiet beginning of something special for both of us.
We stayed connected after that first styling experience. And years later, she reached out again, this time with something new on the horizon: her brand, Vidalessa.
She asked me to style her for the official brand photoshoot. Seeing her step into this creative role, building something so heartfelt and colorful, felt like such a full-circle moment. I was honored to be part of it again, this time styling not just her closet, but her vision.
When I asked her what inspired the creation of Vidalessa, her answer touched me deeply:
“Our journey began with a simple personal mission—to reduce added sugar from my diet and embrace a healthier lifestyle. As I created homemade jams for myself and shared them with friends, many asked if I sold them. That sparked the idea. With so many people struggling to give up sweets, I wanted to offer a natural, sugar-free alternative that didn’t compromise on flavor.”
But Vidalessa is more than fruit spreads. It’s also a reflection of who Marcia is: a Brazilian woman bringing her story, culture, and values to every detail of her brand. On her website, she writes about how she wanted to bring the joy, warmth, and colorful energy of her heritage into her business. That became the heart of my focus when styling her.
I wanted every look to feel like her, to carry her Brazilian roots, her love of nature, her creativity, and her kindness. From the textures and silhouettes to the palette and accessories, each outfit was chosen to echo the beauty she pours into her work. We weren't just putting together looks for a photoshoot: we were styling her essence.
And here’s the sweetest part: when her website went live, I placed an order right away. Marcia messaged me to say that my order was the very first one. So in the most unexpected and lovely way, we were each other’s first clients.

Vidalessa is full of color, flavor, and soul, just like Marcia. If you haven’t explored her work yet, I truly recommend visiting vidalessa.com. Her fruit spreads are handmade with the highest-quality berries, slow-cooked in small batches, and carefully crafted: no added sugar, no artificial ingredients, just honest ingredients and love.
